about
My figurative life studies capture the feeling and the mood of the model. I prefer anonymity in the characters, capturing the essence through form and relying on suggestion and ambiguity. I use aspects of the human figure in my work as lines and forms which express emotion. The use of fluid mediums creates a delicate movement in the works. My real inspiration comes from the creative process; the more works produced, the more ideas arise, including exploring new materials and techniques.
Largely self taught, I spent time studying the figure at life drawing classes and developing a unique style through close observation of the human form.
